Me and DJ Q got together and made another mixtape an album. We’re too fake cool to merely do mixtapes now if you didn’t know. This one is full of great new music that you’re probably sleeping on. If not, I’m willing to bet that you have never heard these tracks presented in such an awesome way. Check it out and enjoy.
Yes indeed, we right back at it to bring you some more mixtape greatness. Me and Q went in on this one. While our last couple of mixtapes have been kinda chill and smooth…this one aint. This is smack ya auntie up music right here. This that “I just got off probation so I’m bout to spark up and drink hennesey out the bottle with a straw and act wreckless” type music. Ya dig? Hosted by my man, one of the hottest if not THE hottest DJ in Miami, DJ EFFEEZY. Look up his resume, google him. He’s the head DJ in charge at MIA’s dopest clubs, Club Play, Mokai, Mansion, just to name a few. He’ll be DJing with us TONIGHT @ Luna for the Ultraviolet party. Shit bout to be crazy fam. Enjoy the tunes. Until next time, I’m outro.
If you knew what I went through to bring you this mixtape. All I can say is fuck the last 24 hours. This joint is a little shorter than what we normally put out (thanks to my local police department) but has some great music on it. X.O. Republicans, join us at The Voodoo Lounge tomorrow. More info at VoodooKC. Enjoy
The X.O. Republic 2.0 mixtape is here. Another fine display of turntable competence. We’ll be at Luna Sunday enjoying ourselves and acting reckless with with the other X.O. Republicans. Come through and be apart of something special. Make sure to check out the first installment of The X.O. Republic Soundtrack if you haven’t already.
Yep, here’s some more fuel for your iPods. Use these songs as energy pellets to your pacmanology nahmsayin? Q controls the first 50 minutes and I take over the rest. The X.O. Republic takes off @ Luna this Friday March 16th. See you there…
Yeah I know, it’s been a minute. I’m still djing 2-3 times a week and stuff, I’ve just been mad stingy with uploading my mixes. Such is life. Anywho, last night Drake came through and set the city on fire. During my club set last night some guy asked me to play a Drake song or two and this simple request turned into me playing about 20 Drake songs in a row lol. A played a few rare Drake joints and features. I thought it was dope. So here goes it.
P.S. New mixtape coming from me and DJ Q within the next 2 weeks. It’s called, The X.O. Republic. Yep…
Here goes an end of the year musical gift from me and DJ Q. Click the kid’s face to download. Old school music never fails to make people happy, even when celebrating death. The Heavy D set beings two hours and thirty minutes in and was followed by a tribute to a few of our favorite artists who have also passed away. To start off though, we had a Drake listening session for his new album Take Care. I didn’t capture most of it, but when we got to Cameras I had to press record and start going in. Enjoy…
This is me taking a bow in an exclusive swagged out coogi cardigan that won’t be available to the rest of you bums until 2025. That’s just how I do shit nahmsayin.
Anyway, here’s Live From Thrive 9. The first 45 minutes or so were kinda beastly. I started off playing a few of my favorite new cuts. After that I went into a little Ryan Leslie mix. That guy is so underrated man. The party got started kinda early this week, and the females were juiced up and ready to go, so I tried to cater to them a bit. Cool little party mix. Check it out.
You know the drill. The party started kinda late this time so I was able to do my thing without getting into club mode too early. This is another one of my favorites. Very clean with minimal mistakes. I was proud of myself after listening which is an anomaly because I’m usually highly critical of my shit. This one is perfect for the whip.
The response for these have been nothing but positive. It trips me out when people tell me they actually listen to this shit or they heard someone else bumping these joints. Thanks for taking the time to check em out and for all the retweets and stuff. Peaaaaaaaaace.
Yoooooooo. Been a few weeks without an update, so I’m going to make it up by bringing you two mixes full of hot scorching fire for your new iPhone and shit. The first joint is at my thursday weekly spot we like to call Thrive. The second joint is from Saturday where I got an opportunity to cover for my man DJ Q at our other weekly spot called LiV.
I’ve been dedicating some time to improve and tweak my club sets for the better and hopefully you can tell with these two mixes. Check em out.
I’ve been thinking about putting out my club sets from my other residency at this spot called BLVD Nights that I do on Saturdays as well. These sets are a lot more gutter than you might be used to hearing from me. I’m not sure if 2 long ass club mixes a week from me is overkill or not, but we’ll see. So yeah, look out for that maybe….
Whatup tho? Here’s last night’s #thrive set. A lot of new stuff on this one. I *almost* did this one completely sober, but I’m weak and ended up relapsing on two glasses of wine. Tracklist.
