Here’s a crazy thought, this guy actually has an Academy Award, lol. Can’t nobody flip a sample like DJ Paul and Juicy J. The beat on this is nasty. #countryraptunes

Track of The Day: Coughee Brothaz – Don’t Get Me Wrong
Friday, December 18th, 20091st quarter is always a sloooooow ass period as far as new music goes so that’s the reason for the lack of updates. It has nothing to do with me being a lazy motherfucker I promise. Anyway, this song is crazy. Homie was croonin his ass off.
Track of The Nite: Jay-Z – Can I Live
Monday, November 30th, 2009Reasonable Doubt is timeless. What’s weird is that it would probably have made more of an impact if it came out today in comparison to the impact it made in ‘96. That’s a testament to how good hiphop was back then and how shitty it is now.
Track of the Nite: Jim Jones ft. Trey Songz – Summer Wit Miami
Sunday, October 11th, 2009Track of the Nite: Lil Boosie – Goin Thru Some Thangs
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009 This has been Track of the Day/Nite before but in light of Boosie being sentenced to 2 years today it’s only right that I bring it back. Hold ya head Boosie. Also free my brother Tony who just caught a case. It’s not lookin good for him either yall.
Track of the Nite: Goodie Mob – Blood
Monday, September 21st, 2009This shit right here? Man. A snippet of this appeared on Goodie Mob’s debut album. They unleashed the full version on one of the best compilation albums ever A.merica I.s D.ying S.lowly which was a benefit album that featured the likes of Prince Paul, Mac Mall, Eightball and MJG, Wu-Tang Clan, Spice 1, Mobb Deep and more. The whole tape went extremely hard. If you ever find it BUY IT. It’s a classic.
Also make sure you check out Maurice Garland’s recap of the Goodie Mob reunion concert that popped off in Atlanta over the weekend.
Track of The Day: Outkast – Slum Beautiful
Thursday, July 30th, 2009The DJ can’t lie, I hated Stankonia when it dropped. I thought it was weird and left-field. In 2009, as I watch rapper after rapper turn into singers over electronica influenced beats, only now can I see just how ahead of the game Stankonia truly was. This shit could come out today and still feel brand new. Stankonia has aged well and turned into my second or third favorite Kast album.
Track of the Nite: Lil Boosie – Goin Thru Some Thangs
Monday, July 27th, 2009How can you not relate to this song? All hail Boosie Bad Azz…
Track of the Nite: Scarface – Mary Jane
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009I haven’t done a Track of the Day/Nite in awhile but it’s a slow week for music. This is one of my favorite beats ever, produced by the legendary hippy himself Mike Dean. I think I would rank Mike Dean in the top 5 greatest southern producers ever.
