Ayo yo yo but yo….what’s up. Back again with another Live From Thrive drop. This one is chill, mellow, and relaxed. We were definitely cooling it last night. Started the journey off with some Slum Village, Drake, and some other smooth tracks. Got into some Jay-Z, played some newer hood joints, and then we got drunk and ended the night with some old school late 90s stuff. I was very anti-popular club music for a majority of the night. I don’t think I played one single popular club song lol. This might be my favorite Live From Thrive, even though my djing wasn’t particularly spectacular or anything. But I like the vibe of this one…check it out.
Ayo, I’m back again with another live from the club mix. Not much to say about this one. We had an active energetic crowd that I was feeding off of and the mix reflects that. This one is definitely a little more aggressive. The commentary on the mic gets hilarious towards the end. I also was trying some new transitions and such. I really fucked up the transition into Homegurl, I don’t know wtf happened. Forgive me DJ gods.
Oh yeah, people were asking me about the last song. It is The Weeknd’s Gone. That song is crazy. Download their newest mixtape here.
Bonus: I forgot to post Live From Thrive 3 last week. The first 40 minutes are really smooth. Oh and I got to play my favorite song of all time at the very end. Check it out. Tracklist
Live from Thrive Vol 2. is here. This aint your average club mix. Something about Djing at this spot makes me do things out of the norm and try new stuff. A whole heap of new music on this one along with a few classics. I started an impromptu Aaliyah Tribute at around 1:30 that lasted a lil longer than I planned. But once I got into it I couldn’t stop. I love that woman. I think I was a lil drunker this week compared to last week thanks to her and her
So, me and DJ Q were supposed to do a mixtape for The Affair this week but I was busy with work and doing other cool important things so I never got around to it. I decided to record my set from our weekly party session at #Thrive to make up for it. This set was kinda weird for a club set because, due to the rain, we didn’t have much of a crowd so I was just playing whatever for about 2 hours…and I was totally trashed. I’m not even going to mention the fact that I was djing with 2 of the most warped records ever smh. All of this makes for an interesting listen to say the least. Check it out.
Ayoooooo. What’s the deal? I’m back again to take my folks on another musical journey. I felt a lot of pressure to out do our last attempt at mixtape greatness. I think this one meets expectations. Do me a favor tho, listen to the whole damn tape all the way through the first time aight? Let me control this lol. Hope y’all enjoy.
After molesting the beat on that new DJ Khaled track with Ross and Weezy, it looks like Drake is gearing up to bang us over the head all summer. Take Care coming sooner than later.
International Jones is back with another one. Nice to see Fiend still putting out dope music. Featuring guest verses from Spitta, Mia X, Big Sant, Nesby Phips, Trademark, etc. Properly tagged version spotted at DGB.
