What’s poppin? The unfortunate death of Nate Dogg had me on a 1 week 90’s west coast music hiatus, so I wasn’t paying much attention at all to all this new shit that’s been coming out. Hence, I bring you the daily dose. Hit the jump for a bunch of tracks that came out in the past week or so….Oh and speaking of Nate Dogg, once this tripod comes in the mail imma shoot a Nate Dogg tribute video, live on the turntables for y’all. Cool? Ok, cool…

Everyone hates this song except me. Not sure if this is the mastered version Dre promised but here’s the dirty and clean version untagged, via my big homie Core DJ Shawty Slim.

Welp, we’ve waited 10 years for this and here it finally is. First single off of Detox. It didn’t blow me away, but I like it. Props to the NMC.
Biggest Daily Dose Ever
Tuesday, May 19th, 2009I been on vacation at the Derrty DJ summit for the last 4-5 days and haven’t really touched a computer until today. I had 1000+ unread emails and my rss feed was on fire. I did my best to find the songs that dropped over the weekend that are worth checking out. If I missed something my bad!
Audio: Eminem – 3 A.M. (Produced By Dr. Dre)
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009
“Epic” is the word I used to described this track to somebody when we first heard it on Shade 45 today. Even I think this is one of the dopest tracks to drop this year and I’m one of the biggest Eminem haters around…

How is it possible for Miss Koi to even lay on her back? Seriously…
Your boi is back after a long ass weekend. I’m tired as hell. I definitely need roadies to help me lug all this equipment around. Shoutout to the homie DJ Beatz for handling the mic duties for me @ Mizzou last night, and shout out to the chicks who made the wackest mojitos ever after the party. They got the job done…
Hit the jump for a bunch of tracks you might have missed over the weekend, including some new Kanye and Wayne features…
Audio: T.I. – Shit Popped Off (Detox Reference Track) (DJ)
Thursday, February 19th, 2009
One source says this is a reference track for Detox but no one else has mentioned it. It doesn’t sound like a Dre beat but he does mention Dre a few times. I can’t call it.
I’m so….confruuuused (c) Young Buck

Track of the Day: Dr. Dre didn’t have a damn heart attack
Friday, January 16th, 2009This is why The DJ doesn’t post stupid rumors on this site. If you didn’t know, someone started a dumb rumor about Dre having a MAJOR heart attack on twitter, which subsequently spread like wild flowers on the innernets. It’s been debunked already. You cats need something better to do. Enjoy the vid…
Audio: Bishop Lamont ft. 50 Cent and R. Kelly – Could’ve Been You (prod. Dr. Dre)
Wednesday, January 7th, 2009
This is the CDQ. I’m really hoping this is an actually single for Bishop Lamont’s album and not a reference track for Detox that Dre will probably rap over. Either way this shit is nice. If you don’t know who Bishop Lamont is then you will soon find out. He will basically play the same part Snoop did for The Chronic but for Detox. Get familiar…

Audio: Dr. Dre and Kardinal Offishall ft. The Clipse – Set It Off

After speculation DJ Skee confirms that Dre indeed hopped on this track
DJ Skee explains this remix :
Heres the story FYI… We (Skee.TV) shot the “Set It Off” video for Kardinal ft. The Clipse, and Jimmy Iovine loved it and sent it to Dre direct (since we had the Beats By Dre headphones in it). Then, Dre loved the song & video so much he was inspired to do a verse on it that night (I got called by the label the next day saying Dre rapped on it after being inspired by our video- a pretty good feeling). This was when he was still trying to come out with Detox this year and he wanted to start hopping on records… needless to say, those plans later changed, and thus the remix never came out (it just leaked somehow today, but was done months ago), but it is 100% real and official… and hopefully it helps Kardi! Figured I’d let the world know the real story before assumptions came out…
