One of the most slept on songs of 2010 gets some assistance from a couple of legends. This song sounds like it was made for a Project Pat feature doesn’t it? I’m gonna actually go to the store and pick up Big Boi’s new joint instead of being lazy and copping it on iTunes. How bout you?
Your boy has been busy as a fool the last 3 days. I have been DJing and partying waaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Like seriously, this can’t be healthy. Anywho, hit the jump for a whole heap of links to accompany that whole heap of ass above.
I get a lot of other DJs asking me what new tracks am I currently working in the clubs. Here are a few of my club picks that are getting a bit of love around the country and at the spots I spin at.
1st up are couple of tracks from Atlanta. This first song is one that for some reason is hella popular in my hometown of Saint Louis. I gotta give props to DJ Krisstyle for putting me up on this one. Big big ups to my sis MzXxXcLuEsIv for ripping this for me. Make sure you hit up her site (newstlcomin.blogspot.com) to stay up on all the latest shit from the Lou.
The next Lights Out club pick is by an up and coming young group from the A, who call themselves Travis Porter. This has the potential to become the next swag surfin. This shit will have you ready to elbow somebody in the back of the neck for no reason. It definitely serves its purpose and will kick the energy in the club up a notch.
This next one comes by way of Memphis. I gotta give my homie DJ Wonder props for breaking this on one of his mixes on Shade 45. This one sounds good after the chicks are warmed up with Soulja Boy’s Donk or something else that induces massive booty shaking.
The last of my club picks include a couple of tracks that are blowing up in Dallas. 1st up is Chalie Boy. Chalie boy is that nigga. He reminds me of the late great Big Moe. This song definitely will get folks singing along.
Finally we have a couple of tracks from the Dallas duo Treal and Prince Rick. I actually have been playing these for a few months. They both get a good response. Bad Lil Braud definitely gets the ladies going and Mr. Hit That Hoe is actually becoming a club favorite at the spots I frequent.
Another weird ass collabo. But once again…this shit works. I’m glad to see folks stepping out of their boundaries to try new shit. The DJ is fucking with this…
We hit the 100k mark on the site today (doesn’t include my own visits to the site lol). That’s pretty dope considering A.) we try to keep it straight hiphop here without the B.S. youtube video beefs, etc and B.) we did this in under 2 months (We didn’t start tracking hits until the beginning of January). Anyway, I’m sure you don’t give a fuck about that shit lol…
A bunch of leftover tracks I aint feel like posting after the jump…
I haven’t listened to Pat’s new album Real Recognize Real yet cause I’m waiting to cop it Feb. 24th (yeah we still coppin albums over here!) but I’ve heard good things about it. This is off of an upcoming Dutty Laundry mixtape which should be coming soon. Here’s the CDQ.
The big homie Burn One posted this over at BLVDST a while ago and I forgot to post it until today. Juney is another one of the DJ’s guilty pleasures. He tore up ATL radio and strip clubs in 08 with his now hood classic Wassup Wit Da Pussy Cookies single and now he’s back with another song that hoodrats will be shaking their asses to on youtube.
